Aromasin is an anti-estrogen drug for the treatment of breast cancer and is an aromatase inhibitor. Some breast cancer cells have estrogen receptors (ER) and are stimulated to grow by estrogen. They are called ER-positive (or estrogen-responsive, hormone-responsive or hormone receptor-positive breast cancer).
